Fear and Society, by Bernat Castany

Interview

Could we live without fear?

Who said anything about being scared? Well, at some point, we all have, because fear is one of the tools that all animals have to get by in this world. That being said, in human minds and societies, this basic emotion takes on new meanings beyond the purely biological ones. In this interview with Bernat Castany Prado, we explore how fear is specific to a time and a place, the mechanisms that turn it into a tool for control and some strategies for facing up to it when it turns against us.
